On this Memorial Day I honor all of those who fought for this great country and their sacrifice in service to our nation.
I honor my Great, Great Uncle David who served in France in 1918, viciously injured at the age of 22 and my great Uncle Zaven who lost his life at 26 in the invasion of Normandy in 1944.
I honor my paternal Grandfather who lost his life from injury after serving in the Army in 1943, and my maternal Grandfather who served as a bomber pilot with the Air Force - and flew 55 missions over North Africa and Europe.

On this Memorial Day, I will be observing the National Moment of Remembrance, which encourages all Americans to pause wherever they are at 3 p.m. local time on Memorial Day for a minute of silence to remember and honor those who have died in service to the nation.
